Job Description

Ericsson is seeking a Configuration Manager with strong expertise in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Hardware Configuration Management (HW CM). The role focuses on managing product structures, configurations, documentation, and releases for hardware and hardware-near software products, ensuring compliance with Ericsson processes, tools, and quality standards.

The Configuration Manager will work closely with R&D, hardware development, software, supply, quality, and release teams, acting as a key enabler for structured product handling throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Hardware Configuration Management

• Perform HW Configuration Management activities across the complete product lifecycle.

• Create, maintain, and govern product structures, variants, and baselines.

• Ensure correct configuration identification, control, status accounting, and audits.

• Manage configuration for hardware and hardware-near software products

PLM / PDM & Ericsson Tools

• Work with Ericsson PLM/PDM systems such as PRIM and 3DX (ENOVIA).

• Manage product data, documents, versions, and lifecycle states within PLM.

• Ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance of product information.

• Support product and document releases in Ericsson systems

Release & Change Management

• Manage product releases, document releases, and configuration baselines.

• Coordinate engineering changes (ECR/ECO/ECM) and ensure proper approvals.

• Perform impact analysis and ensure controlled implementation of changes.

• Support internal and external configuration audits.

 

Required Skills & Experience

Core Skills

• Strong knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).

• Proven experience in Hardware Configuration Management (HW CM).

• Experience in product structuring and product handling.

• Exposure to hardware and hardware-near software development.

• Hands-on experience with Ericsson PLM systems (PRIM, 3DX) or equivalent tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in telecom or electronics product development is preferred.
